Blogger Akanksha Yadav bags Parikalpna SAARC Summit Award in International conference at Sri Lanka

Famous blogger-writer Akanksha Yadav has won laurels by bagging the ‘Parikalpana SAARC Summit Award’ for  2015 during the Fifth International blogger’s conference held in  Sri Lanka on 25th May, 2015.  She was given Rs. 21000/- cash prize along with a commendation certificate. The Award was given to her by Sri Lanka's senior Dramatist Mr. Don Somrathne Withana and  former Uttar pradesh Cabinet Minister Mr. Nakul Dubey. Akanksha Yadav is wife of Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Director Postal Services,( who himself is a famous Hindi blogger and litterateur.

Organizer of the ‘International Bloggers Conference’ Mr. Ravindra Prabhat said that Akanksha Yadav started her blogging career in 2008, and has been since operating more than 10 blogs on various social issues. She has motivated a number of people to enter the field of blogging and gave blogging new dimensions through her literary creativity. Her blog ‘Shabd Shikhar’ (http://shabdshikhar.blogspot.in/) is counted among one of the famous blogs in Hindi. "Akanksha is a leading women blogger with special interest in women, child and social issues, women empowerment reflects in her writings. These blogs have been viewed by more than million people  from more than 100 countries across the world." 

 Akanksha Yadav have been awarded earlier also with a number of reputed awards at national and international levels. The awards include ‘Awadh Samman’ by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, ‘Best blogger couple of the decade’ award in the tenth year of Hindi blogging, ‘Parikalpana blog vibhusan award’ in Nepal during the International Bloggers Conference. Other than these she has been also awarded with Honorary degree of Doctorate (Vidyavachaspati) by Vikramshila Hindi Vidyapeeth, Bhagalpur, Bihar, ‘Dr. Ambedkar Fellowship National Award’ and ‘Veerangana Savitri Bai Fule fellowship award’ by Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Academy,  ‘Bharti Jyoti’ award by Rastriya Rajbhasa Peeth, Allahabad, ‘Hindi Bhasha Bhusan Award’ by Sahitya Mandal, Srinathdwara, Rajasthan, ‘Manohra Devi Memorial Award’ by Nirala Smriti Sansthan.

"There are several women activists in the country who are indirectly working for the upliftment of women by helping them get empowered. the award will act as a moral booster for such women." said Akanksha. 

She added, "  I will continue to highlight women and child related issues and mobilise people across the globe to work for the cause."
